Caregivers in San Diego have enjoyed the community and camaraderie of the Daughterhood San Diego Circle for five full years this month. This ‘caring for caregivers’ group, founded by Christine Lee and Karen Van Dyke in September 2015, is the flagship Daughterhood Circle to launch from Daughterhood.org, the brainchild of founder Anne Tumlinson.
Daughterhood San Diego’s monthly meetings are a blend of community support and resource sharing, and this anniversary event will be absolutely on brand! On Wednesday night, two speakers will address end-of-life legal documents and mindful self-care for caregivers. Thursday night will feature a presentation on CBD and cannabis for caregivers and their loved ones, and end with a look back at five years of Daughterhood as well as a look forward by the national group’s founder. Both evenings will include frontline caregiving stories from local San Diego Circle members, and drawings for raffle prizes. Unlike the group’s usual monthly meetings, next week’s attendees will have to provide their own beverages and snacks at home!
Here’s the speaker roster for September 16th and 17th, 2020, from 5pm – 7:30pm. All are welcome, so take a moment now to sign up!
